Jeevana Krishna, M.D. studied medicine at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, completing her internship at Osmania General Hospital in 1982 and her pathology residency in 1984. Dr. Krishna moved to Atlanta, became a Research Fellow at Morehouse School of Medicine in the Department of Pathology and published several articles in the Journal of the National Medical Association.

Dr. Krishna completed her Family Practice Residency in 1991, making rotations at Southwest Hospital and Grady Memorial Hospital, and was awarded the Excellence in Medical Research award from Morehouse School of Medicine, Department of Family Practice. She was the only Morehouse Family Practice resident inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, of which she is a lifetime member.

Dr. Krishna won the First Place Award in the Family Medical Research Competition at the National Medical Association’s Annual Meeting in 1990. Dr. Krishna has been Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1991 and has been the proprietor of Cumming Family Medicine since 1998. Doctor Krishna also practices alternative medicine, Yoga and is a Certified Pranic Healer. Dr. Krishna primarily sees patients at Cumming Family Medicine’s main location at 765 Lanier 400 Parkway in Cumming.

Throughout the years Dr. Krishna has been bestowed many honors and special recognitions as she continues at the top of her profession. Dr. Krishna’s leadership paves the way for others, and she strives, every day, to carefully and faithfully serve the community.
